Airports
There are two airports
in St. Lucia - Hewanorra International, located
forty miles
or one and a half hours from the capital city Castries
and George F.L. Charles which is only two miles
from Castries or an eight minute drive.
Transfers are via Private Taxis, Limousine, Helicopter and Coach Buses.
Solar enjoys an excellent relationship with all taxi associations and employs the services of qualified, well groomed and fully licensed driers from these associations. A fleet of executive chauffeured cars, taxis and coaches are always available upon request.
Our airport representative will meet and greet you and ensure that mode of transportation is made available upon arrival.
Seaports
Two major ports service cruise activities in St. Lucia - Port Castries and Port Vieux Fort. Port Castries, the main port, is a multi-purpose port catering to both cargo and cruise activities. While Solar Tours & Travel is modest in avoiding possible conflicts between cargo and passenger service, it is envisaged that that Castries will be transformed into a cruise dominant port.
Solar Tours & Travel in keeping with this vision has positioned its operations to provide transfers for clients doing a cruise- fly programme.
Our fleet of vehicles includes 14, 25, and 30 seater buses for passengers and luggage vans that can accommodate 200/250 pieces of luggage.
